Website design and preparation for limited companies now required to have a website containing all statutory information under the new Companies Act.

Continued development of NHS Capital Accounting software in use in over 40 NHS Trusts.

 Comprehensive  training of NHS accounting personnel not only in use of our own software, but in other avenues of NHS accounting also.

 

Development and costing of care pathways including production of electronic patient records at bedside.

Other consultancy assignments include:

Costing of Mental Health Services and services for the aged, including work on concept of care packages and seeing whole patient journey as one entity. Included work on links between NHS, Social Services and other partners.

Oversight of £1m IT project on clinical pathways for NHS and BUPA.

Preparation of Applications for Foundation Trust status, entailing drawing together five-year Business Plan, Capex, cash flow model, service development for £100m trusts with £20m annual Capex and up to 5,000 staff, e.g. Addenbrookes, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, Southampton Teaching Hospital, Winchester Hospitals Trust, Morecambe Bay Hospitals Trust .

Review of financial systems and procedures within NHS Shared Services project.

 

Managed Benchmarking project for 30 NHS Trusts working with Health Resource Groups to reduce 8,500 procedure and 10,000 diagnosis codes to a manageable 50, to enable patient treatment and costs to be compared nationally.

 

Approached to test the Payment by Results module of the new SUS clearing system being written by BT.  This involved the design of test data, managing the process of that data through BT’s new systems and the design and construction of a stand-alone system to check that BT’s calculations were correct.  This resulted in detailed findings of where their calculation were incorrect and the resolution of those issues.
